Last Saturday, we're supposed to go to Tagaytay but since hubby had his boys Friday nite-out, he's not so thrilled to drive that far. And I haven't tried driving outside of Metro Manila yet. So we just decided to go malling at Trinoma, the new Ayala mall in North Edsa just across the SM City Mall. We arrived before lunch, there are few people at this time. My kids and hubby played at Timezone. After playing, they got their prizes. Off we scoured the area for lunch. There are a lot of empty spaces inside the mall. Some stores/shops are just setting up for their soft openings. Decided to eat at Veneto, a pizza house. We ordered carbonara (pasta), veggie salad and their special pizza. Their pizza serving is huge. Got so full. My kids have enjoyed this day with their Papa (he seldom goes malling)....

wow! a new mall and to think it's right across another shopping centre. hard to believe that philippines is a third world country because it is like a shopping mecca.

so, how is the mall? is it as nice and complete as glorietta? i've read some not so good reviews regarding this place.

anyway, ako very happy na with glorietta and although there's an SM Bicutan near our place, i don't mind the traffic just to go to makati :)

hi evi, welcome to my site. thanks for visiting. i've read your blogs to know you more. yeah, it's really a wonder how these malls survive when everyone's complaining about the hard life in Manila.

hi tina. I didnt shop, we just stroll around the mall. Hubby doesn't want to wait while I shop. You know men...It's better if I go malling (and shopping) alone or with my kids.

hi belle, thanks for the visit. we really had fun last Saturday. btw, I have four kids. My youngest, Bea (3yrs. old) is with my mom in our Pasay home for a two-week vacation.

hi gracita, the mall is a combination of glorietta and the new greenbelt. it's really huge. but some shops are still close. they're not completely opened yet. there are a lot of restos though. but the parking area is too narrow. hirap mag park, not because there's so much people. good thing they have lots of security guards to assist you. there are few informal settlers strolling around too (if that's the not so nice things you've heard)...of course, you wont see them in greenbelt. have nothing against them though. I just don't want them seating behind me when I watch a movie. you know what I mean...he he

sa pamilya ko ako lang yata ang ayaw sa trinoma :D kasi nga, marami pang sarado, i find it too dark, and i find the layout confusing. wala pang grocery. well, for now lang naman. in a couple of months full blast na yan and before you know it nagkakasalubong na pala tayo :)

baligtad naman ako, i'd rather drive outside of manila.. medyo out of sirkulasyon na ako in terms of hangout sa manila, so i cant say anything about trinoma hehe.. the last time i was in the phils, i was talking about this resto in alabang which is not existing anymore, kakahiya hehehe..

hi analyse, it's really easier and safer to drive outside of metro manila. but am kinda scared to try the expressway. to think, ive been driving for 7 yrs. now. he he. when you get to manila again, hope we can meet you.

What a huge place! It probably is the "pantapat" of the Ayala Group to the new Mall of Asia? Wow, talagang talong-talo ng Phils. ang Canada when it comes to malls. The mall where I work, seguro 1/20 lang ng size ng Megamall (probably even less), so walang ka-excite-exciting...=P

Thanks for the visit,btw....

Hi Rowena. Great photos! Glad you had a terrific time. I haven't been to that mall yet. Looks like another nice mall worth visiting.

Happy Sunday! Thanks for the visit.
