About My MOM

MY WONDERFUL MOM
I was tagged by Raqgold, my first time. Here I'm playing this tag.

10 Random Facts About My Mom

1. My mom, Aurora, is a Kapampangan, although she's born and raised in Manila. That's why she's really a good cook. How I wished I could get even 1/4 of her cooking skills.

2. She shares birthdays with my youngest sister (and a wedding anniversary also).

3. She met my Dad in Congress (funny thing, I also met my hubby in the Senate) while she's working as Executive Secretary while Dad is Chief of Staff to a Manila congressman.

4. Went to the banking industry, but resigned to be a full-time mom to us.

5. She's got 4 cs's (like me), gave birth yearly from 1969 to 1972. Who can beat that?

6. I consider her a supermom and super martyr. She goes to church everyday and so pious.

7. She loves to shop and buy new furnitures every two years. I get the hand-me downs. He he.

8. She's quite tactless (like Kris Aquino), say anything she wanna say even when they're embarrassing already.

9. When she was still a baby, during the war, an American soldier often played with her, good thing they didn't take her away from my grandmother.

10. She's one smart lady. And I love her to the max....

Now, I'm tagging Rachel, Julie and Cess.

By the way,Rowena, i don´t know if this true;

"My mom, Aurora, is a Kapampangan.....She's quite tactless, say anything she wanna say even when they're embarrassing already."

totoo ba ito?....kasi, i remember when i am still in grades school, we had a neighbore before, Kapampangan, sa visaya sa amin, pero talaga, Sabi siya, kahit nasaktan ka or not....basta sabihin nya ang gusto nyang sabihin.....
Sabi pa nila, mga Kapampangan daw mga MABAIT at SUPER INDUSTRIOUS.....kasi siya, talagang industrious, she managed their family bus. yon asawa nya....baliktad sila....bisaya yon asawa nya....

Sorry my comments ha?....hope you don´t mind this.....

thanks again, have a nice Tuesday.---

Hi Rowena. Kampampangan are really known to be good cooks. You're lucky to grow up enjoying great home cooking.

What a nice coincidence that you and your mom both met your partners in life in government.

This is a good meme. I've been tagged too but I haven't started with mine yet. :)

Take care!

Hi Vicki, thanks also for the visit. Kapampangans are really great cooks. Re the tactless thing, what I meant was, she would criticize someone or something- like make pintas to a certain clothing line within hearing distance of the store manager. he he he.

Hi Cess, thanks ha. I also think Nicole looks like her. Re the home schooling with CFA, I attended another parent-kid activity last Saturday. Me mga speakers dun whose sons are studying pa in Ateneo but they decided to pull them out of the school and do home schooling instead. The other one, a mother of 6 kids, homeschooled all her kids from grade school to high school. Her children are all doing great in college. I'm thinking of doing the same for all of my kids. Next time, please come with me sa mga activity namin so you'll see what it's like (teacher julie also enrolled his son there).

Hi my dear Rachel, funny talaga about my me and mom meeting our husband in congress. Am really enjoying this tagging thing. La na naman ako magawa dito sa bahay. he he

Hi Dine, thanks a lot for the visit. When veteran bloggers like you took time to read my blog, am really honored. Yeah, really. Thanks. Hope to meet you in person soon.

what i love about your mother is she is her frankness and being pious. but you ought to take some cooking lessons from her as Kapampangans are known to be good cooks.
