Am I Weird?

Oh well, I was tagged again by Cookie (of ScroochChronicles) to state weird things about me. I'm beginning to enjoy this tagging thing, remember I'm a new blogger...

Here it goes:

1. I am so scared of cockroaches. I would scream everytime I see one flying in our house.

2. I am terrified of stray dogs, I was bitten by one when I was 5 months pregnant with my son.

3. I have an OCD. Some friends call me oc-oc. I would pour alcohol on our doorknobs and on our dining table to make sure they're clean, canned goods are arranged neatly in the cabinets so with the clothes and shoes, toothbrushes, towels, socks, bedsheets. And I can go on...

4. I eat green mangoes with fish sauce (patis).

5. I would iron all our pillows and our bed once a week, I need to get rid of dust mites (my kids have skin asthma).

6. I usually post my helper's daily work schedules on the ref's door.

7. When I go out, I would count (in my mind) all the appliances that were unplugged from the sockets when I'm already in the car.

8. I can put on a happy face even on my low moments.

9. I take time to call LTFRB to report smoke belchers and taxi drivers who refused to convey passengers, write columnists on various issues and even text GMA some suggestions or complaints (I get answers too, I bet from her staff).

10. I would give generous tips to cheerful hard-working people but not a single centavo if the service is not good, esp. to some taxi drivers who would force an additional pay aside from the metered fare.

11. I finished law school but didn't take the bar (I haven't reviewed wholeheartedly for it).

12. I would memorize the faces of passengers (and some drivers) when I would take the MRT, buses or fx vehicles (my Dad told us to do so when I was younger for security reasons).

Am I weird? I'm tagging Raqgold, Chats and Kim.

Hello fellow-weird person :)

Wenchie, we are the same in some ways. I even eat green mangoes with rice and fried fish (with bagoong/patis), :D

Re the dust mite, you can buy the Allercon dust mite spray in supermarkets to spray on your pillows and mattress. We use this and it is effective.

Hope I can see my comment here coz my comment in your grocery list didn't come up. :(

Hi Cookie, thanks also for tagging me.

Hi Julie, I'll definitely try Allercon. At last nag appear na your comment. Am planning to call google's manila office pa naman. he he. Am happy na.

hi rowena, i've done this tag but let me check on the still unlisted weirdness. i'll work on it when we come back from our camping trip. and let u know.

Hi Rowena! Thanks for dropping by my blog. I appreciate your comments. :)

I had a fun time reading your "weird things", haha. Though most of them are OC-ness. :) I love #8 in your list.

How about LTFRB? Do you get replies too? I have never tried texting them.

i love eating mango with patis too! but make that patis with sugar. is that weirder?

super oc ka nga! i can't imagine ironing the sheets weekly unless maybe i have someone else to do it for me, hehe.

Hi Rowena,

Thanks for visiting my blog (http://tarantrader.blogspot.com)! Regarding the help you were looking for, kindly email me about it at bonner.dytoc@absolutetraders.com.

Thanks!

Hi Lynn, thanks for the visit. Yeah, LTFRB responded, even called me to tell that they have confiscated the plate of the bus I've reported. I can't help it not to report them, imagine all my four kids have asthma. Madali naman mag pa change-oil bakit di nila magawa (to avoid the black thick smoke). Btw, I call them baka i-delete lang text ko eh...

Analyse, pwede ko sa NBI noh? He he. You're right na memorize ko na the bloggers' faces and connect them to their profile.

Gracita, I don't just iron the sheets, I iron the bed itself and the pillows (oc talaga). Sometimes, the helper does it. Re the fish sauce with sugar, anung lasa nun? Weird ka rin girl.LOL

To tarantrader, medyo natatawa ako sa name ng blog mo ha...Will definitely email you soon. Thanks for responding to my inquiry.

#11 you can still review and take the bar later, or kelangan palakihin muna si bunso para full concentration ka.

Hi Girlie, you're right, my bunso is only 3 years old. Hirap mag review and take care of four growing kids at the same time.

Hi Rowena. I see we have many things in common. I'm terrified of cockroaches too.

I'm a dog lover but I'm afraid of stray dogs. Good thing in our village, all dogs are required to have a leash when they are taken out for a walk. Oh my, you got bitten when you were pregnant? So there was no shot given to you because you were pregnant? That must have been a scary experience.

I'm an OC din. I have a mini alcohol in my bag always. I wash my hands after going the rest room and use a tissue to open the doorknob. If I don't have tissue and forced to hold the doorknob, I put alcohol on my hands.

About #11, I'm sure you can still take the bar some time later when you can spare more time to concentrate on your review. I understand with small kids it might not be easy right now but perhaps you can do it in the near future. Good luck!

Hi,

I promise to do the tag, but I'll have to ask J for an objective view bec. he says that I have a lot of peculiarities, and I go "no, I don't."

You have such cute children. Your eldest is a looker.

Hi Kim, thanks for the visit. Sige lang do the tag when you're free na. Re my kid, Nicole is becoming my dalaginding na and she's only 10 years old.

Wenchie said...

Hi Rachel, yes I love dogs also. I took care of one (Rambo) during my high school and college days. When I got bitten, I have no choice but to go to RITM (then go to Festival Mall afterwards, he he) to have the shots, doctors there said there's no harm on my baby. Too bad my hubby's men killed the dog even before we could have observe him for rabies. Until now, am still thinking if the anti rabies vaccine shots are really harmless because when I gave birth to my son, he has a heart murmur. I don't know if there's some relation to it. Scary experience talaga, really cried that time not because of the wounds on my leg, but because I was scared for my child then...

Re the OC thing, we are like the character Leonardo Di Caprio played in one movie. Yung parang magkaksakit pag nakahawak ng unclean doorknobs. he he

I will definitely take the bar pag ok na sked with my kids schooling. Thanks for dropping by.

why do you have to unplug your appliances from the sockets when you go out? i don't even do that when i go on vacation for long period of time. any reason?

i also would take time to iron bedsheets, pillows, etc when kids were little for same reason - asthma. but eventually, i bought bed and pillow casings that deter mites. i stop ironing then.

Wenchie said...

Rqgold, thanks for doing the tag.

Chats, oh I didn't know. I'll go over your previous post to read about your weirdness. he he

Belle, I've read somewhere or I think it's the MERALCO advising consumers to do so to avoid short circuit, fire, etc..And mas cheaper pa daw. But I don't unplug the ref, even on long vacations (only the tv, pc's avr, electric fans, washing machine, etc.).

Ah, you should have joined my Royal weirdness contest ... you might have given Queen Chateau a run for her quirk.

Hi Annamanila, next time I'll join. Right now, I'll settle for the Princess of Quirks. LOL
