Sandalias Festival in Trinoma

Sandalias Festival 2010 a smashing success

Once again the Sandalias Festival delighted sandal lovers with a fabulous showcase of Ipanema, Ipanema Gisele Bündchen (GB), Grendha and Rider footwear; an awesome fashion-cum-dance spectacle; plus fun games; pampering activities; and the first ever Giant Piñata shower.

Aptly themed “Step Into Some Love”, the Sandalias Festival truly made hearts beat happily throughout the two-day event as it paved the way for guests to enjoy a Brazilian style soiree whilst finding the perfect sole mate to match their personality and lifestyle. Ipanema attracted the eternal beach bums, while Ipanema GB appealed to social-conscious women, Grendha charmed urbane belles and Rider enticed active adventurers.

TriNoma was enveloped by a gleeful air as Steps Dance Project sashayed around the mall donning colorful and comfy Ipanema, Ipanema GB, Grendha and Rider sandals, spreading cheers and inviting mall goers join in the festivities.  Moreover, the group rendered a superb performance that creatively played out the chic fashion and tropical inspired lifestyle espoused by the said Brazilian footwear brands.

Guests likewise enjoyed free foot massage, nail art, as well as foot or body tattoo.  They were also able to take home souvenir photos with different captivating destinations in the background. Sporty guests who aced the climbing wall and the gyrating mechanical surf board, Ride N Surf, took home cash prizes and gift certificates.

Sandalias Festival’s show-stopper and most unique attraction was the Giant Piñata, a larger than life flip flop filled with goodies and freebies.  Once hit, it unleashed a great shower of prizes including gift certificates from Ipanema, Ipanema GB, Grendha, Rider and sponsors – Lay Bare, Planet Sports, Nivea Sun, magazines from Summit Media, Orly Nail Lacquer; as well as an air ticket to Boracay from Cebu Pacific Air and a 3D/2N accommodation at Patio Pacific, Fairways and Bluewater and Discovery Shores. Other sponsors were Us Girls, Essensuals by Toni and Guy and Terra Wellness Spa.

Indeed, the Sandalias Festival 2010 was a huge success, just like in the past two years.  Patxi Elizalde, Managing Director of ELRO Corporation, exclusive distributor of Ipanema, Ipanema GB, Grendha and Rider in the Philippines, was elated with the good turn out of the event.  “Mounting the annual Sandalias Festival is part of our continuous effort to bring our brands closer to the market.  This is our way of establishing an emotional connection with our patrons.  We want them to not only experience our products but also be immersed in the culture and lifestyle that inspire the creation of our footwear.”

Elizalde added that also part of their effort in engaging the market is opening a concept store called Bambu, which features all their Brazilian footwear brands. The launch of Bambu TriNoma, the third concept store, coincided with the Sandalias Festival.  Other Bambu outlets are located in Glorietta 4 Makati and Marquee Mall Angeles City, plus a kiosk in Alabang Town Center.

On his final note, Elizalde said that while Sandalias Festival is their banner event, patrons could look forward to more exciting activities and of course, more stylish products from Ipanema, Ipanema GB, Grendha and Rider in the near future.

Clinique's 3 Steps To Great Skin

I have been using Clinique products for years. When the opportunity to go to a Clinique event came up, I knew this was an opportunity that I know I absolutely cannot pass up because I believe in these products.

I went to the Clinique event looking forward to what will be done with us and the other mommy bloggers who also signed up with the invite. And I can say this is one of the most organized and cool events I've been to.

First we had the Skin Type Analysis.

We underwent a skin type analysis during which a Clinique product specialist asked questions about our skin. I answered the questions and later knew what the type of skin I belong to. I have a SkinType 2 which is characterized as dry and dehydrated.

Then we were instructed to do the 3 Step Skin Care System

Step 1: Cleansing with Liquid Facial Soap

Step 2: Exfoliation with Clarifying lotion

Step 3: Moisturizing with Dramatically Moisturizing Lotion

These 3 step skin care I have continued to use till this day. I have noticed a dramatic change in my skin. My skin is now clearer and glowing. I even feel that my skin has become radiant.

Clinique products are 100% fragrance-free and have been formulated for Asian skin. These are also allergy-tested.

The results are more than satisfying and positive. My sisters noticed the change in my skin too.

I love the results I got from these Clinique products and that goes to say, hubby does too.

Blue Water Day Spa Event

Last Tuesday, February 24, we (a few invited bloggers, thanks to Noemi Dado) attended an event which I've been waiting for, the grand opening of Blue Water Day Spa at Capitol Hills in Quezon City. Even though I'm coming down with a flu, (I took meds to ease the body pains I'm having) still I insisted that I should attend this event. Hubby and I are actually arguing about it. When he finally agreed to let me attend, drove fast to fetch Chats and just in time, we were able to catch Piolo Pascual before he leaves the venue. After the ambush picture-taking, we toured the place.

This is such a nice spa to visit. Since hubby and I frequent this place because of the resto at the roof deck (with the view of the whole Metro Manila), now hubby can stay there and drink all he can while I'll have my day at the spa. Or maybe both of us can try and go for a massage.

Here are some of the pics...

Ipanema Gisele Bundchen Collection Launch

Last Thursday, February 19, I was invited by a good friend, LadyCess to attend another bloggers' event. This time a fashion show featuring a new line of fashionable flip-flops made in Brazil. Actually, it was the launch of Ipanema Gisele Bundchen Seeds Collection. It was held at Le Souffle at The Fort. Good thing I attended, I met my fellow mommy-bloggers and new friends. And the food was great so with the party. We watched the Philippine Ballet Theater members (wearing Ipanema flip-flops) do their interpretative dance accompanied by a Brazilian music. Had so much fun. We even took home a pair of Ipanema slippers. Not only that, we get to meet the President of ELRO Corporation, Mr. Francisco Elizalde, exclusive distributor of the said brand. The slippers are all designed by renowned supermodel and environmentalist Gisele Bundchen.

Weekend Snapshot: Pantene Bloggers' Party

Last Friday, I attended a bloggers' party sponsored by Pantene at Taste Asia (Mall of Asia). As usual, there's so much good food, drinks overflowing and wonderful people around. Thanks to Aileen Apolo for the invite. Check her site for the monthly bloggers' event. There's another one coming up this 31st.

At the party, I met newbie bloggers as well as the old-timers. We had some chikahan (chats) and picture-taking. I grabbed this photo courtesy of Mitch, a mommy-blogger I finally met at the party. She came all the way from Subic just to attend this event.

Weekend Snapshot: Parties, Parties at Taste Asia

Posted below are pics taken during the first Coke Party for Bloggers, the Pond's Event (introducing the age miracle cream) and the 2nd Coke Party for the Awarding of Winners on the Coke video blog contest, which I attended. And I can say I really enjoyed attending the Coke events which gave me a chance to bond with fellow bloggers. It's also great to see friends in San Miguel, together with Taste Asia, they provide good food and overflowing drinks (kidded that they should have ordered to moi, am wholesaler of San Mig beers, he he). And of course, am drooling over the very yummy ice cream cake which they served during the 1st and recent Coke events.
