Gabbie's 1st Communion

Last Thursday, January 29, 2009, my eight year-old daughter Gabbie had her 1st Communion at the Good Shepherd Cathedral Shrine officiated by Fr. Gerry Tapiador and Fr. Albert Delvo. About sixty students received their holy communion. Hubby and I together with our only son Pio Miguel attended this memorable event, another spiritual milestone for our dear child.

As usual I was late again for the Filipino Mom Blog's Fab Holiday Finds Meme. I got the comforter during a sale at Our Home shop. Got it at half the price. See my son is enjoying it...he doesn't want to sleep back on his bed again.

Gabbie Turned Eight

My daughter, Maria Cristina Gabrielle celebrated her 8th birthday last October 10, 2008. She woke up early and dressed up for school. She doesn't want me to tell her teachers that it's her birthday. So I surprised her, brought spaghetti for her teachers and classmates and gave them chocolates, too (melamine-free, he he he). We fetched her in school and had dinner at Dencio's Capitol Golf. A day after her birthday, we treated her again at Timezone Glorietta and Starbucks where she feasted on iced chocolate drink, cookies, brownies and strawberry cheesecake. I'm sure she's enjoyed her special sweet day.
