Last Friday, I decided to have my Mommy Day after a tiring marathon teaching- reviewing sessions with kids for their quarterly exams, back-breaking trip to the North and all the stress I had lately, it's time to relax.
First stop is my favorite facial treatment at the Forever Flawless salon. I had a basic facial which includes facial steam, facial vacuum and a relaxing hand massage. While a friend had her facial treatment and diamond peel at Beverly Hills 6750 for P26,000.00. Well...I had mine at P300, wink..

the attendant putting a facial cleanser and massaging my face
getting ready for a facial vacuum
Next destination, the Going Straight Salon for hair straightening. Since I have natural hair wave (my kids have curly hair too), I have my hair straightened twice a year. I used to have it done at the Jun Encarnacion's Salon (managed by the wife) in Laong Laan, Sampaloc near Dangwa but am not sure if it's still operational. And it's far from my place. So I just settle with this salon, which is ok for me so far. The procedure also includes hot oil, blow-drying and another head, neck and shoulder massage. Cost (depends on the length of hair) is P784.00 plus tip
taking pics while waiting at the salon
hair-drying after the straightening procedure
having a pedicure (same salon)- Cost P90.00

I also spend little on facial and manicure and pedicure. I am happy with the result too. hehe. It does the work di ba? Anyway, I used to do lots of facial in the past whenever my hubby and i fight. Lately, I haven't been going to the facial spa for that reason. It's more of maintenance. Old na ako eh.
Hi Noemi, naku you're not old. Besides, you look so sassy naman...It's been sometime when I had my last treat for myself, he he, lagi kasi for the kids gimmick namin.
good for you rowena! you deserve it once in a while. and look at that beautiful smile on your new you...priceless!
i blow dry my hair and use huge round brush to remove my wavy hair every other day like how the hairdresser does it on me. but i have never had facial treatment at the salon kasi mahal dito. instead, i buy facial products and do it myself.
Hi Wenchie!
Love the straight hair! Kelan kaya ako magkaka lakas ng loob gawin yan? My hair is also a bit wavy, but I'm afraid straightening will worsen it..
How nice naman of you to go out and have some pampering! Naisip ko nga, why don't we mommies have a grand EB at some spa or salon haha. Then dinner afterwards.. That would be awesome, doncha think?
Btw, i'm here looking for the tag.. which one is it? the one word meme ba?
aaah, ang sarap naman nyan! minsan parlor date tayo.
Hi Belle, I really enjoyed this self-pampering that I did, ha ha. We have the same hair growth pala, wavy din saken.
Hi Chats, sige nga mag spa tayo soon. Btw, you're tagged re: blogging tips.
Hi Cess, I was thinking of you when I was having my facial, baka kasi you're in the area also. Next time, sked natin...
Hi Wenchie!! Sarap!! I've never tried the facial at Forever Flawless but even my sister in the US swears by it. Masubukan nga. Grabe naman kamahal yun 26k na facial. BTW, you look great!!
Hey, Chats idea is a good one. Some spas can hold spa-parties. The one I go to for footspas can close if someone requests. Magaling sila. May branch sila sa Commonwealth pero it's small.
Thanks Cookie. O hayan dapat me fee ako from Dra. Belo, he he. Sige sked tayo spa-party natin (mga kikay mommies), ok lang kahit small place.
hi rowena!! looks like you had a pamered and very relaxing day. :)
wow, your friend blew 26K for facial? whew! that is a L-O-T.
Hi Wenchie. Glad you had a great pampering day. Last time I was at the salon, I wanted to take photos too pero nahiya ako.
I wanted to go to the salon and have my facial during sem break but Yohan got sick. Hopefully before November ends, I can have much needed pampering time too.
Wow, P26K, imagine that!
Congrats on finally getting your paypal. Good luck and hope you get lots of blogging opportunities.
It was fun chatting with you and Cess.
Oops, how can I forget, you look great! Your hair suits you well.
that's a very nice way of pampering yourself. and you really look great ha. i'm dying to do that! i've been trying to have a haircut for ages pero yun lang di ko pa magawa. hay!
Hi Denden, yeah I had fun doing it. This is the first time I went out by myself and found some time for self-pampering.
Hi Rach, hope you can get your facial soon too. Sarap pala feeling when you set aside time for yourself.Tagal ko na di nagawa to bec. of house chores and I always have my kids with me whenever we're out in the mall. And yes, my friend is a regular client of Beverly Hills in Makati Shang. I've been convincing her to switch to Belo instead.
Hi Ann, sige na go to the salon and get your hair-cut. I can babysit for Dwyn.
Wow! Good for you! All moms deserve some pampering and you truly deserve it. I wish I could have gone with you. ;)
i go to forever flawless too, dati sa belo medical, eh parehas lang naman ginagawa, at least at forever i can have it monthly kasi mura lang, hehe
nice one in a while to have our "me" time noh ^_^
that is what i will call life.
gosh, i am so envious kasi ang mahal dito. i can't imagine i can get all that for less than $10. i won't spend 26K if i can get it less for an equivalent service.
Hi Gelli, yeah the salon is really affordable that's why I don't go to my derma anymore for facial treatment.
Hi Evi, when you get back here in Manila, check it out. This is actually my first time to do it all alone, the self-pampering thing. Before, I was with my mom and sisters. Next time, I better try it with blogger-friends.
Hi Mary, just give me a call or drop a note on my chat box, I'll be very happy to go with you at the salon (when you're back in Manila)....
That sounds like a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Glad you found me.
Thanks Alasandra,I enjoyed reading your blog.
